ITAV and Play Leadership participate at Lotus Bloom's October 2024 Craft and Resource Fair

Thank you to www.playleadership.org, our ITAV Partner, for their volunteer spirit in making 20 raffle bags filled with Juice Packs, Granola Bars, Apple sauce squeezes, and hand-drawn cards for the children who attended the Lotus Bloom Craft and Resource Fair in October held at the Youth UpRising Center in East Oakland on a bright and sunny Saturday morning.  Play Leadership also donated softly used books as additional raffle gift bags.  Play Leadership Jenny and her son Thomas along with ITAV Leadership helped set up the fair. ITAV volunteers helped with food service and craft activities like tattoos and play dough art. The fair included representatives from Bananas (another ITAV partner), the Oakland Public Library, Roots Community Health Center, and the Oakland Public Schools. We thank Angela, the Executive Director of Lotus Bloom for inviting ITAV and Play Leadership to volunteer and support the fair in such a fun-filled and meaningful event for the children and families of East Oakland.
